Sue Ann Hock, Activites Director

Here at SunnyBrook, we like to keep our residents busy with a variety of activities. The goal of our activities coordinator is to have something for everyone to enjoy. We offer daily exercise classes, weekly bingo, crafts, card games, puzzles and movies on the big screen TV. Monthly birthday parties and many special events that coordinate with the holidays, and we have ministers that visit us for church services. There is a Paraffin dip day for those wanting a little pampering, that can go along with your manicure. We also try to get out into the community with Jefferson County trail and the Christmas light tour through town and around the square in the evening. We also go to the square in the summer for the music and conversation with old friends and family. The residents ride in the Kids Day parade float with the Red Hats, who also visit us at SunnyBrook, and we try to get to the pancake breakfasts downtown. Monthly theme meals is another activity that we are now implementing for more fun at meal time and we grill out in the summer at least once a week and Friday is hospitality hour. We do a potluck every year and invite the residents families to come and join us. As you can tell we try to keep the residents busy by providing many activities, hopefully something for everyone.
